About You
An interesting and well-organised day; but I was hoping for more 'insight' into the working atmosphere at the bank.
We were well taken care of; clearly a lot of effort was put into organising the day and making sure the right people were there.
A slightly irrelevant question as we did not have to perform any work while we there.
Useful information presented on how to be successful in an application for an internship / graduate scheme.
The Company
The insight was strucutred well; the morning activity was a good way to get everyone into the right mindset and prepare us for the more serious afternoon sessions.
The organisers were clearly enthusiastic and created a nice, fairly relaxed atmosphere.
We weren't given 'training' as such as we did not do any work, but there was some useful information presented to us.
Given the insight only lasted one day, a very good attempt was made to enlighten us about the graduate scheme and working for the bank full time.
The opportunity to speak to several employees (all on the graduate scheme) was very useful; it gave us a chance to understand what the bank expects of its employees and what the atmosphere is like.
A career at the Bank of England was certainly painted in an attractive light, and there was no shortage of detail on what areas we could be working in.
Everything Else
Simple procedure.
There were several chances to speak to employees on the graduate scheme; it would have perhaps been interesting to speak to some people who had been at the banker a bit longer.
See above.
We learnt the Bank has very cheap entry to a good sports club, among other things.
In general, an interesting day.
