The Role
Nice relaxed working environment with great opportunities to develop skills and contribute to production of official statistics.
Trusted with high-level work and allowed to manage your own project.
Supervisors were extremely helpful, allowing plenty of time for training and giving guidance on using systems and office terminology.
It varied, at times was swamped with work and other times had less to do, but overall good.
Had my own project were I was the solely responsible for ensuring the project was successful.
Developed a range of skills from communication and presentation skills to using computer software and project management.
The Company
Good relaxed atmosphere, very friendly staff.
Pretty well set up, could have been slightly better though.
Got plenty of development opportunities and training.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Would happily go back there but organisation does not offer placement students graduate jobs, so would have to apply again.
The Culture
Split in placement students as lived in Bristol, Newport or Cardiff so very few events with everyone but good social scene between those that lived in Cardiff.
Very cheap as living and socialising in a student area.
Good nightlife but because of job restricted to weekends only really.
There were some opportunities but could have been more.
