About You
I enjoyed the placement and it gave me a great sense of what it might be like to irk at Taylor Wessing.
The firm had a very welcoming, open-door policy and employees went out of their way to make the vacation schemers feel involved and active within the firm.
We received close guidance throughout the shame from both trainees and associates who acted as mentors in each seat.
I was able to use the experience at Taylor Wessing to learn more about the key skills of a commercial lawyer and the analytical skills that will help me in my postgraduate studies.
The Company
The scheme was well-structured and allowed for a good mix of time in the office as well as presentations about the firm's activity.
Everyone on the scheme got on harmoniously and the atmosphere was very pleasant.
The firm invested a lot of resources in the scheme, which allowed us to both learn some key skills as well as interact socially with different people around the firm.
As far as possible, the scheme significantly broadened my perspective on what it might be like to be a commercial lawyer in the City.
The firm's core values centred around innovation came across very well during the scheme and the open door policy of all the departments was plain for all to see.
Everything Else
There were good social events put on throughout the week that allowed everyone to meet different people around the firm.
I played in various sports teams organised by the firm and got a good insight into the various out-of-work activities available to employees.
