About You
Fantastic experiences, everyone was extremely friendly and this was by far the best placement that I have attended.
At all levels, I felt greatly valued and everyone was willing to answer questions and to be involved within the scheme.
There was a lot of structure to the scheme which greatly helped, and having a trainee buddy as well as an associate supervisor allowed me to ask the appropriate person for
Despite studying law, the type of work a law firm is involved in is completely different to academia. However, in terms of skills applicable to a legal career or any other, it was fantastic.
The Company
There was a clear structure with a lot of different and varied events too.
For me, the atmosphere made the scheme stand out for me. A fantastic firm with a fantastic atmosphere.
Both in terms of people's time, and financial investment for social events, there was a lot invested in myself and others.
I was able to involve myself both in real work, as well as social events in order to fully gain an idea into what a full time role would be like.
It was fantastic to be able to gain an insight into the firm's culture, and was something that particularly attracted me. This is the best way to understand what is an amazing culture at Linklaters.
It helped me to confirm completely for my career path.
Everything Else
You were given an allowance to cover for travel, accommodation etc.
There were a number of people at different levels who were involved with the events, and so I was able to talk to a great range of people, including those I personally worked with.
There were not too many at all, a perfect amount to be able to socialise, while at the same time gaining an insight into the work and other activities at the firm.
I was able to not only find out about other activities, but also able to play football for the firm to.
Anyone considering a career in law in any way, I would strongly recommend.
