About You
My three weeks with Hogan Lovells were great and went far too quickly. There was a good mix of work and social events which gave me good exposure to all aspects of the firm's culture.
Although beeing a part of a relatively large intake, people at the firm made an effort to get to know me personally.
All people from trainees to partners devoted their time to answering my questions or simply chatting about different things.
The vacation scheme gave me a good understanding of how it is like to be a City solicitor. My experience there served as a good indication of whether I will enjoy and be cable of doing this job.
The Company
Graduate Recruitment Team did a great job of organising events which made every day very interesting.
The atmosphere could only be described as 'very friendly'. All people on the scheme without exceptions seemed to get on very well together. I already miss them all.
During my time with Hogan Lovells I got an opportunity to attend a number of workshops conducted by partners or external experts. I found them really beneficial.
I feel confident that if I come to work for Hogan Lovells there will be no surprises. During my placement I got exposed to the disadvantages as well to the benefits of working for them.
Social events attended by people form all ranks within the firm were really helpful in this respect.
Good balance of time at my desk and various workshops and social events was helpful.
Everything Else
The pay is adequate to cover the expenses of living in London during the time spent on the scheme.
Many opportunities. All people were very keen to talk with me.
I especially enjoyed an opportunity to meet and talk to future joiners on one of such events.
We had a dedicated talk explaining pro bono opportunities. People were also invited to play for the firm in sport games taking place at the time, like softball.
I never regretted choosing to do this placement.
