The Role
Enterprise Rent-a-Car provided a placement were two days are never the same so it is a job with variety and hard work. It provided me with skills which will help me greatly in my future career.
My colleagues treated me like any other member of staff and despite the fact of not having graduated, even to the extent were they didn't realise I was an intern! At Enterprise you are at different offices every day and you get to know staff who you need to maintain good relationships with them.
The managers support you very well and they give you all the backing/trust that they can. They do their very best to get you through your development folder and gain promotions quicker.
The job is very busy on a day to day basis. At points you may be a bit too busy not get a chance to do different activities office based and spend a lot of time out the office, however usually get the chance to do other things.
For only being an intern I was given the exact same responsibilty as a Management Trainee which is the graduate programme. Nearer the end of my internship I was carrying out similiar tasks to what Assistant Managers carry out, which is excellent experience.
Enterprise Rent-a-Car has provided me with valuable skills which will help me with my studies next year and in my working career also. I feel a lot better prepared for my honours year at university and picked up great working skills throughout my year.
The Company
Fun working atmosphere, sometimes a bit stressful when busy however.
I like how the internship sets you up for your future career in Enterprise and with the Management Development Folder helps you measure your success. Would have liked to moved branch for different experiences a bit earlier
Continuing to work part-time throughout studying next year which will lead to progressing onto Management Trainee/Management Assistant.
The Culture
Fun working environment.
The long hours found it hard for a lot of free time, however the internship allows an extra day off during the week which helped.
