The Role
Beautiful place to work and managed to get fuel expenses paid. Communication has been a problem at times.
By the end due to a manager and porter getting fired and the other hospitaly manager being off sick I was left in charge of corporate and wedding events in the castle. This was a great way for me to get more experience and really enjoyed it.
All in all I have learned a lot about the industry so it was definetly worth it.
The Company
Was too busy to have fun, often din't even have time for lunch.
I was the first one to do an internship there so we were both learning and often I asked other departments and my manager to work in certain departments.
Didn't recieve professional training or an proper induction when I started. Collegue's explained how systems worked and I was quick to learn. After a few months they gave me a one day KX workshop.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Due to low sales they don't have the budget to hire me at the moment.
The Culture
I was the only one
I lived in London and drove up and down every day so cost of living is quite high in London.
Got a family so I didn't go out.
