The Role
Naturally, there were times of highs and lows. Generally the job was fun.
I was valued very well by those of whom I worked with on a regular basis
I was given excellend support by HR and colleagues. However there were a few issues after a change of management
As the job is "customer" based, there were times where there was little work, and there were times where I found myself inundated. Generally the workload was manageable
I made some progress in an increase in responsibility, however due to a change in management this increase was not as large as I had hoped.
The training schemes I was signed up for, and the improvement in social skills have been instrumental in my further studies.
The Company
Due to the company being heavily hit by the credit crunch, there was a dip in morale. However the general atmosphere was friendly and I made some good friends during my time there.
Generally the placement was set up and organised well with progression in work and responsibility.
The company signed all of the interns up for 4 training schemes and had a specialist role in HR for a representative for interns
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Due to the company being heavily effected by the economic climate, prospects are quite weak currently.
The Culture
As previously mentioned, I have made very good friends during my time with the company.
Living in Watford was suprisingly pricey, as well as prices in Central London. Socialisation was limited to an extent to this, but was not a massive hinderance
Watford has two clubs, however they were expensive given the area they are in and not my cup of tea. There are good clubs in London (obviously), which are only a train ride away
Charity Organisations, Parites, 5-a-side, BBqs etc
