    • Microsoft offer an incredible amount of opportunities, both inside and outside of your job role.

    • Even as an intern you are treated as a core member of the team.

    • I had a very varied job role so always had tasks to be getting on with.

    • I had a great deal of customer interaction and dealt with important processes.

    • I learnt a huge amount working at Microsoft about how large companies run and the future prospects I wish to pursue.

    • I worked in the sales team so the office was always buzzing.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Yes - we always organised nights out together, in addition to Christmas parties and leaving drinks.

    • Reading is a student city so the cost of living isn't too high.

    • Reading has a number of good nightclubs and bars with events most days of the week.

    • There are a number of sports clubs and societies at Microsoft, from photography to kite-surfing.
