The Role
The work was interesting and varied. Whilst it could get boring at times, it was actually having a direct impact on the projects I was working on and I always felt that the work I did was highly valued.
Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly. I felt comfortable talking to everyone about any problems I had and very enthusiastic and constructive about the work I did.
Support was excellent, I never felt uncomfortable asking for help and everyone involved in my placement genuinely couldn't have been any more helpful.
Some placements could get boring at times, but most of the time I was kept busy with a good amount of work. No one expected too much of me, and I felt happy to speak up if I felt that I was being given too much or too little work.
I was given a good amount of responsibility. I was allowed to interact with the clients, manage my own time and work, and the work I did was actually used on the projects I was working on and submitted to clients.
I gained many useful skills, especially around Microsoft Office. I also developed more confidence and gained a great insight into what it is like to work at a professional services firm.
The Company
Everyone was very talkative, friendly and up for a laugh. There were regular socials and the office felt like a very relaxed and fairly informal environment. i felt comfortable joining in with conversations with my colleagues and they welcomed my input.
Everything was very well organised and I had no major issues at any point in my placement.
I was given a good amount of training for the time I was there and if I needed any further support it was always available.
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I am seriously considering future employment with the firm after graduation.
The Culture
Everyone was fairly sociable, however I did feel that more events could have been organised amongst ourselves.
It was in London so everything was fairly expensive. However any official internship socials were paid for which mitigated this somewhat.
There were some really good pubs, clubs and bars around the area.
There were lots of societies and sports teams, and we were asked to get invoolved with several activities outside work during our time on the placement.
