The Role
The overall experience was very good, I find it hard to find areas for improvement.
The whole department, not just the team were all welcoming from the start and they made settling in really easy.
Any questions asked at anytime would be answered.
This is variable to how much work you want to do and I guess it differs from individual to individual - you are always checked on to make sure everything is ok and you have an appropriate amount of work to do.
Hard to tell - I did quite a lot of work but I'm guessing it was not in the most important areas. However, all work was checked afterwards.
Assisting in degree studies? Not much. For future career, a lot in terms of teamwork, etiquette etc.
The Company
Everyone was happy!
Everything was organised straight away - if any adjustments were needed to be made, we were notified well in advance. Should we have wanted to have other experiences in other departments - this was also made possible.
There was much online material and we were given a week to train.
I have been offered and have accepted a job with them.
The Culture
Definitely we all talked to each other very frequently and had social events.
I'm actually from Newcastle so I lived at home, but for advice, I would say rent in Newcastle is relatively cheap.
Again, I'm from Newcastle, and the night life can only be described as awesome.
If you wanted to, you could get involved with something - similar to joining sports societies at university.
