The Role
JLR is a great company and you feel the excellence no matter which department you go to. However, probably depending on the manager, some people stay bored for most of their placement as there is no specific plan the company has prepared for them beforehand.
My team is a really friendly and supporting environment which values the work you have done and helps if you struggle. I found some of my tasks very rewarding because they were appreciated by superiors.
While working on my projects I got a lot of feedback from the engineers and the management team which helped me set myself goals and see where I am going. Nevertheless, I didn't have too much technical guidance and had to gain all the necessary information myself (although it also was a valuable experience!).
I was quite busy although there were also times when I was bored. It really depends on the mood and attitude of the manager how much you are going to have to do.
My projects weren't of highest significance but what I did was quite useful to the team.
Not too much, I got some valuable experience in programming but I think not too many people got to do their degree-related stuff.
The Company
It was very pleasant.
I feel that it was very well organised HR-wise but the program of the internship was vague or none at all.
Very little.
Quite appealing.
The Culture
All the interns were very friendly and excellent relationships were held.
Quite cheap.
Decent.
There are some opportunities in the Employee Learning Scheme which promotes the Lifelong Learning attitude.
