The Role
Very enjoyable: friendly place to work, with lots of variety in the job tasks. Lots of opportunity to see different parts of the business.
Felt that team were glad to have me and were keen to get me involved with all aspects of being in the team.
Given manager, supervisor and mentor; lots of support available both on a day-to-day working level, and in terms of long term career. Weekly two way feedback sessions very useful. Keen support for me to see different parts of the business, or interesting projects.
Always had interesting tasks on the go.
Given a large amount of responsibility from the very beginning of the placement - was given my own project from the very beginning, to work on alongside other bits of work.
Feel skills learnt will be most relevant for future career.
The Company
Friendly office
Most aspects of placement already organised before arrival.
No training courses as such, but accompanied colleagues to particularly interesting meetings to observe; given presentation practice; and given lots of mentor support.
Subsidised Canteen
Lots of encouragement towards graduate scheme.
The Culture
Large number of interns means that there are lots of people to socialise with. Regular colleague events.
Coventry is a cheap place to live, Leamington more expensive.
Fairly standard.
Volunteering opportunities through work. Lots going on in Coventry, outside of work.
