The Role
I have enjoyed my placement thoroughly. Towards the end of my time at SAP I became less enthusiastic about the work I was doing. I feel like I enjoyed the job when it was a challenge, once it started becoming a routine it became a little less enjoyable. Overall I have had a great time and learnt a lot.
I felt like I was a full employee of the team. i have been given massive responsibility and was trusted by the employees that I was working with.
I was supported throughout my role on a daily basis when needed. I never felt like there were guidance meeting/sessions to go through my development for the start of my placement. During the second half of my placement my buddy alignment changed and this part of my job became much more structured with bi weekly development meetings.
I feel that this is something that has changed throught my time at SAP. At first I felt little too overwhelmed. I think this was because I was still learning the role and we were in a busy time in the year and I became extremely busy at times. Around the halway point I had a perfect balance were I was kept very busy but not too busy that I felt overwhelmed. Then towards the end of the placement I have become a little bored at times. I think this is because I have learnt the role and do not take as long to do the process driven tasks. The latter point is only slightly, Most of the time I have not been left with little to do.
I was given massive responsibility for the time I was at SAP. A specific time was when my buddy and my line manager were off for a week. I was left completely in charge of our part of the business for the UK and reported up to the Leadership Team on behalf of my team. This was a great learning experience and I felt like I had a lot of responsibility.
I have learnt what I want to do whilst being here at SAP. I have been helped to develop the skills that I need for this role while I was here. I have also had massive support from SAP regarding my dissertation studies so I will be able to use this when I return to University in September.
The Company
SAP is a very quarterly run business. As a result there are times where it is very busy and can be very stressful, and at times it can be very relaxed and a much more fun atmosphere.
The placement scheme at SAP is only 4 years old and as a result it is developing all of the time. I have noticed a massive change across the structuring from when we started to now.
As mentined earlier, I was able to go on a training course to develop the skills I will need when I move into a full time role.

SAP has not got a fully developed graduate scheme, but this is rapidly being developed. I feel that the role I want to go into is not available at SAP but in a couple of year definitely will be. I would love to return to SAP in the future as it has great opportunities for people with a couple of years experience.
The Culture
We regularly had birthdays and nights out.
We live a little outisd eof London so where were are based is not too bad, but once you go into London it can be a little expensive.
In the area we worked it is quite quiet in terms of nightlife. There are a few bars near to the office and it is easy to get into London where the is obviously a lot going on.
There was a chance to get involved in football for the lads, not too mcuh for the girls
