The Role
If you are willing to get stuck in and are enthusiastic then there is plenty of things to do. Driving vehicles will always be the most fun. If you are not enjoying what you are doing then ask to do something else.
When I had been there for a while colleagues values my input and advice on projects
Most of the time you just have to get support, you cannot expect them to keep a close eye on you they have other things on.
Once I had learnt about the business and the systems I was dealing with I was busy, but it can take time to have a large amount of projects ongoing. There is work if you ask for it
Responsibly is obviously based on experience, most of the time I had a safety net
My approach to my work and projects changed dramatically, especially when dealing with other people
The Company
Friendly but proffesional
HR offered little support after giving the placement, just handed over to the boss. But the work you will take on could never be set too far in advanced when the working in development
Training was given when needed for the job
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
If you do a good enough job then your boss will recommend you for the grad assessment centre at the end of your placement which is kind of a fast track process
The Culture
I lived with 2 other placement students, on the whole I was mostly social with the office
Leamington is reasonable expensive to rent but there are always cheap place to shop
Leamington is home to many warwick university students so there are a number of bars, clubs and restaurants
Plenty of thing to do around town with clubs, as with most places
