The Role
I have really enjoyed my placement this year. I have been working really closely with my manger and shadowing him in meetings so I get a broader understanding of the company. I also always have had plenty of work with about 7 projects running at the same time so always had something to do!
I have been working really closely with my manger, so we have a friendly relaxed working relationship so I feel comfortable asking him any questions that I have or any queries that I have with my work.
I have been given great support by my manager who has always made sure that I am happy with my work and busy day to day.
I always have at least 2 or 3 active projects going on so I can vary my work during the day, but there are about 4 more projects in the back ground that I have worked on that I have to beware of, so my time management skills have been tested in juggling all these jobs.
I have been given all my own projects that I have been solely responsible for, but I can also ask for guidance or help whenever I need it so I am not left on my own with no help.
The skills I have developed in how to work in a business environment are invaluable and that paired with project management and how to manage my time effectively will help me in any work environment I find myself in the future.
The Company
Friendly and welcoming, there is always some under lying chat about the office.
HR is very organised though just a few issues with Access/Emails but soon gets sorted out if you talk to the right people.
I haven't been on any specific training courses, but I have learnt and seen things that help my personal training and development though day to day work.

I am on a sponsorship scheme, so as long as I work for them for every summer of my degree, I will be fast tracked to the graduate scheme assessment centre.
The Culture
A majorty of the summer interns live in student halls in coventry so they're are always things to do and a buzz about the place.
Reasonable. The halls have a good deal for JLR interns. Coventry is pretty cheap but if you travel further into the big cities the price of everything increases.
As there is a big group of interns living together there is always a good laugh to be had and Coventry is good for a cheap pre-payday night out!
Reasonable amount, if you are wanting to get involved there is always something you could you, you just have to look for them.
