The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed the work I was doing, which was varied for much of the time.
Colleagues were very appreciative of the work I was doing and complimentary. The environment within the team was greatly responsible for the enjoyment and knowledge I gained.
Help was always available when needed.
Only about 5 hours over the 4 weeks where I found myself struggling. Not a bad thing though, it gave me time to read various reports and news on the property market.
Coming from a non-cog degree, the amount I was able to contribute was often restricted. However when confident enough to tackle tougher tasks, more responsibility was awarded.
Provided with the basic knowledge that is a must in agency.
The Company
Fantastic. Very relaxed atmosphere, plenty of chat amongst colleagues.
From the word go I was well looked after with things permanently arranged for me to be doing.
The main investment was the time of those within the office. By taking me along and teaching me, it would take them longer to get the job done but I did seriously benefit in the meantime.
Company Parties/Events
Left the internship with a feeling that I would be a step ahead of candidates without Savills experience.
The Culture
There was only one other student on the Summer Scheme however softball, cricket and drinks were all organised (predominantly amongst the younger members of the office)
£3.20-4.00 a pint. Reasonable for a major city outside London.
Quieter during the summer but big social scene when university students return.
Softball, Cricket and drinks were all arranged.
