The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement and have learnt a great deal which will help me going forward with my degree.
The department I was working in was always busy and seemed to appreciate my help.
My colleagues were always happy to awnser any questions that I had and I was never given a task without it been fully explained to me.
Always busy - I was never left wondering what to do but this was positive as I gained expereince in lots of different areas.
Being a non - cognate student I had little previous knowledge and so was thrown into the deep end but this helped me to learn quickly and apply myself.
I feel the training I received will greatly help me in my final year of university.
The Company
The staff were always busy and had deadlines to meet, however this was well balanced by by social functions and networking events.
I felt that my colleagues sometimes did not have enough spare time to spend a while going through things with me, however whn they could they did. The support from HR was very good and always kept me informed.
I was given lots of training and developed well in my work throughout the month.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
I have yet to make a firm descision on whether surveying is what I want to do so the company have offered to put me in contact with other services for me to gain experience in.
The Culture
There were lots of sports networking events organised for the men, however I feel more should be done for the female colleagues on a regular basis.
I lived in the town so cost of living was not an issue, being based in the South East obviously socialising was not as cheap as elsewhere.
The nightlife was good but London is a more vibrant scene.
If I was a full time employee then there would have been lots of activities to get involved in.
