The Role
Fantastic year, everybody within the company are friendly and sociable. Work hard, play hard attitude. Nights out are arranged by the company and between the colleagues. The work load is copeable and managers/colleagues are always willing to help.
You are treated as a full time memeber staff with the same responsibilities as one. You are never not listened to due to you being a placement student.
You are always given support and guidance by your managers, yet you are encouraged to work independandtly and are left to your own devices with conduction levels of compensation/decisions that have to be made regarding clients
Don't get me wrong, in the busy months it was busy but it was never out of control. You work as a team so colleagues whom are less busier then you will help out with your workload and vice versa.
You determine everythig that happens in the booking you are dealing with. You offer advice to the client, work with the venue, if anything happens it is down to you to correct it and decide the level of compensation needed if any.
Communication skills gained here will be the main skill I use throughout the rest of my life, regardless of what job I end up in. Negotiation skills are a big factor of business and you definitely learn how to negotiate politely but successfully.
The Company
The average age of the office is mid 20's so as you can guess, the fun never stops! Whether its nights out in Windsor, bowling, meals, casual evenings in/bbqs there is always something going on!
Very well. The induction process was very indepth and thought out. There was a handover period at the beginning of our placement due to new management and this was seamless. Obviously every manager works differently but that was down to us as individuals to find a balance.
Golfbreaks do ensure that you develop as an indivdual however it is down to yourself to go out and find that personal training, it isnt handed to you on a plate (like everywhere else i guess). If you search for the help, the managers will be more then willing to offer you the help - if you just sit there and moan/wait around for the help.... good luck in getting that help/extra training.
Company Parties/Events
Great place for a placement. Do I see much movement for me in the company? No. I would prefer to possibly work for a slightly bigger company so there is more opportunity for movement within the company. - But of course, that is personal preference.

Not overly expensive but isnt as cheap as university nights out. Every thursday is student night and so is just as cheap however weekends are slightly more expenvie - £5/£6 a drink.
There a several bars throughout Windsor, main club being Liquid! - You are also a train away from Reading and London. 30 minutes mini bus drive from Watford so there are plenty of options to go out.
Loads! Nights out, football and cricket, bowling, meals. Team nights out.
