    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Involved in lots of different projects and issue fixing, given a very good overall view of what it's like to work here

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • All very approachable, and they are eager to show me as many different aspects of the work as possible.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I only have an interim manager at the moment so not a great deal from him, but a lot from my surrounding colleagues.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Bit hit or miss, some days had to stay late, but i have never been bored.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Lots of different responsibilities, mainly when people were on holiday i would do their testing for them. had to take care of some of the more bureaucratic jobs, which wasn't as enjoyable, but neccessary.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Mostly skill for working in the company, but easily transferrable and will be handy for uni projects this year.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Busy. the team are a good laugh, but it is a very busy dept so it comes and goes. not a bad atmosphere by any means.

  • Didn't really have any projects laid out other than to assist this one person, but he has given me a lot of work, and different kinds of work,

  • Online training mostly, with oppourtunities to take part in other training, but 3 month interns don't really do this

  • A great sounding grad scheme, which is a lot easier to get into having been on placement

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Living with about 50 others in Halls in Coventry is amazing

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Not too expensive at all, compared to some of the surrounding areas.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Coventry may be a bit "rough", but it's what you make of it, and with the people i'm living with it's awesome

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • A team meal in my first week and not much else, but it is holiday season so everyone is kind of coming at going at the momement.
