About You
This was the first time i was introduced to the Bank of England and i was very interesting learning about the organisation that not many people have an idea about what they do.
I valued on my insight day as they listened to all our questions.
We received a lot of guidance for the activities that took place on the insight day. Also we were offered a lot of advice on the application process.
It has really opened my eye as to the careers that the Bank of England offer and i will highly consider a career at the organisation.
The Company
As it was the first insight day, it was pretty well structured, however there was a bit of confusion as the the actual and set times of the day.
The general atmosphere was very friendly and open.
As it was an insight day, there wasn't much scope for personal training and development but they did help our interview and application skills.
After networking and talking to professionals, i had an insight to the day to day role in the organisation.
The organisation felts like a small group orientated workforce that is very open and friendly.
I have never really considered a career at the Bank of England, however i will now highly consider it.
Everything Else
Reimbursed travel.
There was a special networking opportunity were we could ask more questions following the networking lunch.
I thought throughout the day there was a lot of opportunities and employees spoke of how they have to network and speak to a wide range of clients.
On the panel discussion we learn about what employees could get involved with. They talked about a summer BBQ where employees mingle with senior figures such as the governor and the chancellor.
If you have an opportunity, i would definitely apply to learn more about the organisation.
