  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Was sat away from my team for the first few weeks but when sat with them found them very welcoming.

    • Manager didn't check up on me that often and I was mostly left to ask around for work.

    • Didn't have my own project like some other interns so was busy when people could find me things to do.

    • Gained competence in excel and macro programming as well as learning a lot the cars and how large organisations operate.

    • Quiet but friendly.

    • Felt as though once handed over to manager it was up to me to find work for myself from colleagues.

    • Courses were available but not during the placement.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • A large proportion of the interns (about 50) were staying in student accommodation, mostly in the same block of flats so was like being back in halls.

    • Accommodation was at a discounted rate for JLR interns.

    • A couple of decent clubs where we were staying and more a short bus journey away.

    • Apart from what we organised ourselves.
