The Role
Was sat away from my team for the first few weeks but when sat with them found them very welcoming.
Manager didn't check up on me that often and I was mostly left to ask around for work.
Didn't have my own project like some other interns so was busy when people could find me things to do.
Gained competence in excel and macro programming as well as learning a lot the cars and how large organisations operate.
The Company
Quiet but friendly.
Felt as though once handed over to manager it was up to me to find work for myself from colleagues.
Courses were available but not during the placement.
The Culture
A large proportion of the interns (about 50) were staying in student accommodation, mostly in the same block of flats so was like being back in halls.
Accommodation was at a discounted rate for JLR interns.
A couple of decent clubs where we were staying and more a short bus journey away.
Apart from what we organised ourselves.
