The Role
The role was a good role to do as an undergrad on placement. However, it is not a role i want to perform long term and for, it was boring at times, expecially towards the end of the year.
I was well valued.
Support was there if I needed it, all I had to do was ask. However I felt I did not need much support so i did not push for this.
The role started off not very busy which is to be expected. As my role grew I was very busy, I would say to a really good level. At SAP you can be as busy as you like, depending on how much you choose to take on.
I was given a lot of responsibility which increased throughout the year as i proved myself more and more.
The personal development was huge. SAP in particular can offer really good training and development support if you look for it.
The Company
The area in which I worked was next to the management and sales teams therefore it was a high pressure environment.
Generally very good. I did a new role therefore other roles were set up better with a handover and buddy in place whereas mine wasn't. Going forward my role will be much better set up due to someone having now done the role.
Not too much. Development and training is there if you ask for it and there are a lot of people more than happy to support you with Uni/Dissertation or career advice etc.

Being fairly new to offering placements, SAP are slightly behind the curve. Ther eis no graduate scheme in place however they are developing this quickly and a few placements students will be offered jobs.
The Culture
The intern community is one of the best things about the placement year and everyone goes out, has parties and socialises.
Slightly outside London so the rent doesn't kill you. The office is outside london, about a 20 minute drive form where I lived so it wasn't too bad.
Few options unless you travel into London which is then very expensive/
I personally played football every week which was great and went on to play in the SAP Cup in Germany which was fantastic.
