  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I joined a team that was going through a large amount of change, and this created a great number of challenges and opportunities.

  • The mechanisms for feedback and the general culture were fantastic, I felt really valued.

  • I was fortunate to have a fantastic manager and a number of mentors during my time, to give me direction and advice.

  • I was kept very busy and took on reach projects. Time management was a crucial skill.

  • I was given a great degree of autonomy and some responsibility on certain programmes/projects.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I would say that work experience is now a mandatory part of the university programme (it was not an option at my University, I chose to seek work) and that the lessons I take from this year will set me up for success in my degree and beyond.

  • There was generally a good working environment and everyone is friendly and approachable.
