The Role
A great year with IBM
Respected amongst my colleagues and given large responsibilities throughout the year
I had regular 1-2-1s with both my managers where they guided me through my year.
Being in marketing it varies considerably, some weeks I would find myself working lots of extra hours and other weeks it was very quiet, waiting for work to come in. This was a good balance.
Lots of responsibility.
All transferable skills for the future in the workplace and in my last year of my degree.
The Company
Fridays were quiet and mid week was very busy. Mixture of interns and permanent staff.
Well established placement scheme.
Many opportunities to do extra education, encouraged to do 40hours a year of personal development and giveback.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
An IT to graduate process which allows interns to apply earlier and potentially miss out steps of the assessment process, dependant on individual application. No guaranteed job.
The Culture
Weekly socials, many ITs in South Bank location.
Expensive - central london!
again its central london there is something for everyone.
Always encouraged to get involved to activities outside of your daily role.
