About You
The employment talk parts were excellent, especially the Q&A with current graduate employees, but the business games were poor.
Not really enough time to evaluate this.
A very good interview and job application technique talk from Alex Brackfield. The Q&A was also very useful.
I picked up some negotiation skills and also lots of non-generic interview techniques.
The Company
Like I said - the games were poor. For their quality they took up too much time in the day. It also seems like we didn't actually do as much as the programme indicated, despite the clear layout of the timetable.
I really enjoyed talking to the people I met on the day, and the staff were very friendly too.
I think in this case the day itself was their investment, so difficult to answer in terms of specifics.
The Q&A was very useful, especially from the woman who was a research assistant.
It was mentioned more than briefly.
I think it helped me realise certain things about my job preferences.
Everything Else
We handed in a receipt and an expenses form, to be reimbursed into your bank account.
We had a networking lunch and drinks with graduate employees.
Needed one more coffee break in my opinion.
This was mentioned - sounds quite similar to the way university socials are organised.
If you are very confident about your interview and job application knowledge I wouldn't recommend, because that was the most useful part.
