About You
It reminded me why, and how much, I want to be a lawyer. Everyone here seems to enjoy their jobs, making me very enthusiastic and excited about my future.
People at every level have made time for me, whether that be a trainee or a partner.
Everyone within the firm was genuinely happy to help at all times, meaning that I was never scared to ask questions or go to someone for advice.
It's been a great way to put my law degree into context - law is much more interesting in practice!!
The Company
I don't think I would make any changes! There has been a great balance of desk time, insight into the firm, and of course social events. It's been a fairly full on 3 weeks, but I certainly feel like I've got the most out of the scheme.
One of the friendliest work places I've ever come across!
Project Nabarro was particularly beneficial - it gave us the opportunity to develop our team work, organisation and presenting skills.
Sitting with an associate gave me a great idea of life at the firm. Also, spending 3 weeks within one department gave me a much clearer idea of a lawyer's life than I could have gained in just one or two weeks.
Exposure to genuine client work, as well as a variety of networking and social opportunities mean that we gained a great understanding of what Nabarro is about.
My career path was already decided, however this scheme definitely confirmed it.
Everything Else
£250 per week - several meals were also provided at social events and breakfast meetings too.
There were plenty of opportunities to meet employees, and even if this wasn't enough, the firm's open door policy meant that everyone was more than happy to have a chat!
Particular favourites were bowling, kareoke and pub quiz - even the partners got involved!
Trainees were always happy to talk about what they got involved in. We were also given briefings on areas such as volunteering, pro bono and contact Nabarro.
Absolutely, the scheme has exceeded my expectations.
