About You
I really enjoyed the 3 weeks at Nabarro, and the opportunity it gave me to learn more about the culture of the firm and the type of work they do.
I was given good quality work which I felt actually contributed to the team. Of course there were some less glamourous jobs but on the whole I felt people tried to give me work that was more interesting.
Everyone at Nabarro was very willing to answer any questions I had or help explain tasks.
The scheme helped me develop a number of transferable skills which would be useful in any profession, not simply in law.
The Company
The vacation scheme was well structured with a good mix of social events and activities that kept us busy for the duration and ensured we had the opportunity to interact with other vacation scheme students.
The firm was very collegiate and everyone was always very friendly and welcoming.
The first two days of the scheme involved in-depth training of how to use the firms systems, meaning we could hit the ground running when we started in our departments.
It was extremely useful being able to observe the typical day of a solicitor, gaining an insight into the type of hours they work and the variety of work they undertake.
Everything Else
The pay was £250 per week.
Not only was there a specific networking event that helped us to develop our skills, but employees from across the firm were keen to participate in social events meaning we got to meet a good spectrum of the firm.
We learnt about some of the sporting activities that people from across the firm are involved in.
