About You
I loved my time at Nabarro. Everyone I met was extremely kind and down to earth. The work I was given was constructive and I appreciated the level of responsibility.
I saw the impact of my work directly and the fee earners often gave me specific feedback.
I felt very well looked after and never felt I couldn't ask a question or seek support.
The corporate and IP aspects to my work will invariably give me a head start in my modules next year.
The Company
Very well structured. But it's important not to be naive, the social events go on until late and you are expected to attend early events the next morning. It's great to experience the work hard/play hard culture.
Friendly a good example is that there always seemed to be food in the department for everyone to help themselves to.
Lexis, Westlaw and PLC training
Through being in a small team I was very aware of the hours everyone did and they were always happy to explain the type of work they were doing. The fact that I got a good range of work added to my insight. They were also very helpful and above all honest in answering any questions I had.
I saw for myself that Nabarro have a clear open door policy. They work hard but they work together.
The 3 weeks were a fantastic experience. If they had let me stay longer, I would have.
Everything Else
I felt we were adequately paid.
We had plenty of opportunities to meet employees at every stage of their careers. From Summer placement students who hadn't started their training contracts to senior partners. We even had a chance to network with students on other placements in firms such as CBRE, Savills and Cushman Wakefield
Really good fun. We were all quite nervous about the Karaoke night but it turned out to be the best event of the scheme.
Some of the students actually joined in the activities, particularly a cricket match.
Most definitely, Nabarro doesn't pretend to be something it's not. They're a friendly down to earth firm who are committed to providing an excellent service to their clients.
