The Role
The placement is hard! However, the more you put in the more you will get out of this. In was amazed at the level of exposure to the company, and the level of responsibility we were entrusted with.
Once my training was complete I became a valued member of the store team. By the end of my time in store I was such a valued member the store ,manager requested that I stayed longer.
During the year with ALDI feedback is constant. Expect a steep learning curve. You will make mistakes, you will not be expected to be perfect.
In ALDI you will be busy, if your not busy your doing something wrong!
I ran a multi million pound supermarket. Expect to run the store for whole weekends and days at a time!
Time management and organisational skilks !
The Company
The management team was very strong proactive and willingly accepted me.
Once the placement commenced I was well informed. Before starting little information was given past arrive at 10am day one.
Fully trained to run an ALDI supermarket. Your manager will spend hundreds of hours ensuring your fully trained and competent.

We were told to send a letter reapplying to the MD if we wished to return.
The Culture
This is not a social placement, however, there are ample opportunities to meet new people etc.
I lived at home for the year. The additional support was much appreciated.
