About You
Friendly group of vacation schemers, some trainees came to socials and did not make much effort to speak to vacation schemers, graduate recruitment are fantastic. The socials were great and there was a good mix of talks and office time.
Did not have much work to do and often found myself completing our assessed project instead of making a contribution to real work, but most were very welcoming.
Both my supervisors were very friendly and supportive. Graduate recruitment were excellent.
I developed my research skills and learned a lot about draft researching memos which will inevitably be useful if I join a law firm.
The Company
The scheme has a good structure with a very good balance between talks and office time. Socials were organised very well.
It was a shame that we did not get more time to socialise as vacation schemers earlier on on the scheme, but once some of those socials had happened the atmosphere was very good.
Some excellent talks were provided teaching us more about life as a lawyer and how the economy works and how law firms operate in the economic context.
I spent a lot of time searching for work to do which I did not see the trainees and associates doing.
Sitting within departments really helped to get a feel for the culture although by only spending a week in each department I was not able to get as involved as I might have liked.
I found out a lot about the firm, opportunities at the firm, nexts steps in the application process for a job and the future of the firm.

Yes. Trainees came to most social events but did tended not to network with us. In the office there was a great opportunity and when partners were present there was a great opportunity to ask questions.
The social events and talks provided a great opportunity to network amongst other vacation schemers.
There are a large number of sports opportunities and, of course, pro bono.
Yes, although do not expect to receive too much real work. Great opportunity to network with other vacation schemers though and generally a very welcoming firm.
