About You
Really enjoyable experience with plenty of different challenges.
Everyone made an effort to introduce themselves and when set a piece of work, everyone made an effort to explain the background of a case in real detail.
There were many knowledge inductions which were particularly helpful to non-law students but also law students who just needed their memories refreshing.
The legal research training will really prove useful when writing my dissertation next year.
The Company
We received a pack at the start of our placement with a detailed timetable and the organisation of the placement was excellent.
Everyone was friendly and accomodating, the socials were great and it was really enjoyable.
The company put a lot of time and effort into training particularly knowledge training.
Generally took part in the same work as a trainee so it was representative of real work.
Having worked in a number of departments I felt I had a good understanding and a positive view of company culture.
Everything Else
Opportunities to have lunch with partners as well as two socials with trainees, both of which were fun and useful.
Good fun and a chance to talk to current employees in a relaxed environment.
Pro-Bono and sporting activities exist and through talking to employees I found out more about these schemes.
Definately, everyone is very accomodating and the placement is really useful.
