    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I found the mining and oil and gas sectors to be very interesting and at the forefront of the financial markets.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The culture of London's RBCCM office was amazing in the sense that they immediately made me feel comfortable as a friend while treating me professionally as an analyst rather than an intern.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Everybody was always willing to help if I had any questions.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was always very busy, but I was never given work that people did not want to do, or work to just keep me busy; I learned from everything I was given.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given as much responsibility as one can give to an intern. Enough so that I could perform my duties, but not enough to make me struggle.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learned more during this summer internship then I had in the previous two financial summer internships combined.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • As funa and relaxed as a professional financial firm can be without overstepping its bounds.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Could have had a better training program, but I thought it was very well organized overall.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Could have had a better training program

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 2/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I have already signed my contract! I would not want to work for anyone else.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Nearly everyone contributed to the social scene.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is very expensive

    2/5

    3/5
