  • My manager was always there for support and event when he was extremely busy would set aside time for me.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Working in Finance there are times when work is really busy, but towards the end of the month there is less work so you can seek out more work if you need it. So is a good balance but it's the nature of the job.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I can not believe how much responsibility I was given and could actually seek out more if i wanted it. I have done things I never though I would such as delivering presentations to hundreds of people across Europe & managed factory financial performance with managers.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • With 5 great training sessions on personal skill development, Relevant work to my degree, and the development of my working attitudes it will be a great help.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Most of the time it was good, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. But sometimes due to work the atmosphere can be more tense.

  • Set up well with a work plan in place.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Had 5 good training days and more was available.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised Canteen

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • A lot of placements get Grad jobs, and there is the FDP programme for Finance students to go onto.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We had regular nights out and did activities together.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Lived in Stamford, bit more expensive than I was used to but Social scene isn't too bad.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Not too bad but not that good! There's only 1 club and it seems to be trapped in the 80's but Peterborough is close by.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There is plenty of opportunities to get involved such as football, tennis, badminton and vasrious other non sporting activities.

    4/5
