The Role
I felt Pwc made an effort to make this internship varied and enjoyable with lots of other opportunities such as newtworking lunches and development days other than the work placement.
I felt very valued I was included in everything the audit team I was involved in and also asked to attend meetings etc. Also on a non buisnesss level everyone was really friendly and helpful and I got lots of invites to lunches and also after work events such as a game of golf.
Everything that we did we were intially coached through. Then while doing work we were assigned a coach who would guide us and also answer any questions. Furthermore we had a 'buddy' who helped us with any non client questions such as what to wear, how to claim expenses etc.
I was assigned to work for my whole internship meaning I always had work to do! We also had a project that kept us busy in any downtime that we would have.
I feel that especially towrds the end I was given plenty of responsibility, carrying out work increasingly without direct supervision. Also during on site client work I was trusted to spend a whole day alone doing client work with the clients.
I feel that the intensive training at the start gave me a fantastic platform to carry out the work I needed to do during the internship.
The Company
Great, everyone was always very open minded and friendly and keen to get you involved in office activities.
I think it was well organised I always knew where I was expected to be and what I was expended to do.
The firm set strong emphasis on setting objectives for what you want to get out of the internship and do everything that they can about helping you to achieve these.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I got offered a job with the firm. 95% of interns do.
The Culture
Always month end drinks with a free bar and always plenty of lunches etc to get involved in.
Typical for a small city.
The PwC office is in the center of town in the middle of where the are lots of bars etc.
Plenty of teams and activities to get involved in.
