The Role
I really enjoyed the exposure I recieved whilst completing my internship, experiencing client communication first hand was very beneficial and gave me a greater insight to what the job as an auditor involves.
I felt as an intern I was fully integrated into the team and was treated in the same way as an associate.
Every client and team I worked with, there was always the opportunity to ask questions and all memebers, whatever level of the team seemed willing to answer them and give advice.
Whenever there was work available to us from the client, I was kept relatively busy. Having a specific intern challenge meant that when there were period waiting for work we were able to fill our time productively.
I felt I was given alot more responsibility than expected, completing much of the same work as a first year graduate.
I feel my communication skills have developed, in particular with proffessionals much older than me.
The Company
It was a very friendly office.
Very well. I was given my timetable in the first week for the following 5 weeks. Although I had to be pro-active in making communcation with the team I was working with to make sure I knew where to go and at what time.
They invested the first week into improving our basic knowledge of the principles of accounting and the IT systems used.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Statistically, most people get offered a graduate job following completing the internships.
The Culture
The group of interns in the Bristol office got on well as a group and we met up outside of working hours.
I was fortunate enough to live nearby so it was relatively cheap.
bristol has a good nightlife.
Several, although I found you had to be pro-active in seeking them.
