The Role
I enjoyed the challenge of learning lots of new concepts and financial theory. I was happy with the responsibility we were given on client sites, and I enjoyed the social events organised. Everyone was more than happy to impart some of their knowledge and to give advice.
I did very valued by my fellow colleagues. There were happy with the work I produced and I contributed to making the audit more efficient.
I was given quite a lot of support by my in-charge manager on the client sites. I felt able to ask questions whenever I needed clarification on a task.
There were much busier days towards the end of my internship but during the first week of client work I had some spare time.
I audited 90% of the sales and purchases of two big clients.
I now have a broader financial background and understand the role of an auditor.
The Company
It was quite sociable and chatty, although there was a strong working ethos.
I appreciated the training given at the start of the internship. We were always well informed and kept up-to-date with internship events.
The training at the start of the internship was very useful. It would have been good to have had an excel skills induction to increase efficiency in our work.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
There is lots of flexibility and opportunities for international travel.
The Culture
I was in a smaller office where there were fewer interns, there were some social events but not many over the summer as most people were on holiday.
I was able to stay with family.
Lots of nice bars and restaurants.
There were some netwoking and sports events, which were useful to meet people from outside the firm.
