The Role
Very friendly people, good working environment and I learnt a lot in very short space of time. If you're unsure wha drection you want to go in following a degree at uni, this may be an ideal placement for you.
I was contributing to the actual work going on in the office within 2 weeks. You need to be proactive though, It's not a place for the meek.
Graduate Manager was always available to help as was my line manager.
Actual hard skills...not so much, but lots of transferable skills
The Company
Great people, I made friends that I'll definitely keep in touch wih.
Little mix up at the start, but smooth sailing afterwards
Average rating here as the question is not really suitable to a 3 month summer placement.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
The Culture
Always something going on. Again, this isn't going to happen if people keep to themselves.
Barrow is cheaper than almost anywhere else I've been.
NOt bad for a small town
