The Role
Very intresting to see how a global organisation operates it's IT department. Depending on which department you are in, work varies from programming to managing documentation.
A checklist was given to me when I began which had everything I needed to do; training, access to computer systems, car park arrangements etc. 1:1 meetings whenever needed.
Some days I would have a whole system to move to another database, other days I would have a few documents to move...Need to balance workload and find training to take part in which can benefit you and your role.
Thrown in at the deep end, was a ginnea pig for trying out a new process and using a new system. Produce problem/incident volume metrics for one of the IT departments and sub-departments...which is used by many others.
Alot of online training avalible, training I have received is extermely useful and will help with future studies.
The Company
