The Role
It was a really good insight into the day to day life into the company.
I was regularly given feedback and as the internship went on, the responsibility I was given increased, so I could see how I was more valued as I improved.
I was able to ask any questions.
There were very few times (once or twice) when I ran out of work, but after emailing the resourcing team, I had work within the hour each time.
There was never a time when I was stopped from doing work because the team thought I wouldn't be able to at least attempt a task.
Not in my degree specifically, but work ethic will do.
The Company
There was a general friendly atmosphere, and there were lots of social which all of the interns were invited to.
Some information didn't come until late for example the details of where to be for the training few days.
We had a lot of training over the first week, and were given a training day during our internship. We were constantly being given training for each of the systems we encountered, but this was more in the form of on the job training.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Defintitely would be keen for a graduate position.
The Culture
We met up regularly to share experiences and to catch up in general.
It was ok for the centre of a major city, but wasn't hugely cheap if you had lunch then stayed after work as well.
We also had events outside of the city centre which were good.
I was unable to find out much about the sports teams within the firm. Everyone knew they existed, but nobody seemed to know how to get involved with them.
