  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I looked forward to returning to work each morning.

    • I felt like a summer student more than an integrated member of the team.

    • My trainee buddy was fantastic and helped me whenever I requried assistance.

    • The experience taught me how legal practice operates compared to the learning experience at university.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • The timetabling was perfect however some events scheduled did not happen, with no notice given,

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • My team was quiet towards the beginning but I began to properly chat and have fun with everyone by the end of my placment.

    • The fact that we may be offered a traineeship at the end of the placement demonstrates the firm's investment in me.

    • I fully understand what would be expected me as a full time member of staff.

    • Friday night drinks especially allowed informal discussion of what it is like to work for the firm.

    • I was paid and also had travel reimbursed.

    • There were several opportunities to chat to other members.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?

    • Friday night drinks was fantastic as there was lots of free drinks, and then the social event in the third week was great - dinner and a show on the firm.

    • There are plenty of activities, from various sports teams to charity involvement through the firm's Starfish initiative.

    • Yes, it was a fantastic opportunity and the propsect of a traineeship at the end is fantastic,
