The Role
I enjoy working here, all my tasks are important and challenging. I feel like I'm a valued member of the company.
The atmosphere very friendly and relaxing, everyone is on first name basis. I never feel uncomfortable due to interaction with colleagues.
I get just the right amount of support, so I never feel like I'm completely left without help, but they also let me figure things out on my own.
Sometimes it gets a bit slow and it's harder to find things to occupy myself with.
All my tasks are meaningful, I am an integral part of my team.
All the skills gained here (including IT skills, time management skills and even just getting used to a professional working environment) are extremely useful and will help me throughout my career.
The Company
I never expected the atmosphere to be this relaxed, it makes me feel completely at ease.
Due to the large number of students employed by Xerox every year, everything is well organised and apart from some processes that are a bit slow sometimes, I can't complain.
There is a great learning scheme at Xerox for all employees, called Learning@Xerox, where there are many online courses available on a wide range of topics.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
There is a scheme for graduate jobs specifically for previous placement students, but this also depends on the current financial climate.
The Culture
There is a great student community at Xerox, student nights out are organised almost every week.
It's about the same as average cost of living and socialising in London, maybe a bit cheaper.
There are a few good places in the area, but since it's not far to go to central London, this is never a problem.
There is a students' charity team that always has things going on.
