About You
Very insightful, everyone was very friendly and willing to help and I was able to experience work on a variety of clients over the short period of time!
Everyone made sure to let me know to ask questions and that i understood what i was doing. I was invited to the same socials as anyone lese that worked there!
As much as I wanted- if i had a question there would always be someone willing to answer, whether it be a manager of a fits yearI
I learnt the importance of making sure everythign was done to a high stadard and have got an amazing insight into the world of Audit. The eperience alone will be very helpful in the world of work.
The Company
My 3 weeks were planned out and timetabled for me befre i even arrived and each client knew when i was going to arrive! however there were times when there was not much work that I was able to complete due to myself being so junior in the job.
Everyone was hard at work, yet willing to discuss their jobs and at times there was general conversation. It was not a ilent working environment and was a good atmosphere to work in.
we were given a day and a half of training at the start and the rest we picked up while working on th eclients site. Although more training would have been great so we were able to undertake higher leveled jobs, as the placement was only 3 weeks, it was good that we go so much exposure to the clients.
Working with employeed from all different levels meant that I was able to see the roles that each fo the defferent members of the team undertakes and what it would envolve working there permenantly.
The company as a whole is very hard working, however while working there I was able to see that people are hard working while at work so they are able to spent their weekends away from work. At Deloitte, each intake yeargroup all seem to be very much a group of friends, and wile at college many people I spoke to have said it is like an extension of university life.
I was able to learn what a job in Auit actally entails, which has been very useful in lookin ginto my future career path
Everything Else
I was well paid, and if a client site was further than I would of had to travel to the office my extra travel expended was also reimbursed. many days depending which client you are assigned to you may get lunch either through the client of through Deloitte.
I was at a variety of clients which meant I met employees from frist year to Director level. There was one social where we were able to meet all team members from the department and numerous socials designed specifically for the summer scheme to meet the recruitment team and and the assistant managers designated as out 'chamopions'
everyone was willing to talk to eachother to get to know eachother and share their experiences
there are many sporting actvities held weekly that we were invted to including netball, football and baseball. There are also Audit meals, quarterly drinks, summer and christmas balls.
It was a great experience that gave a great insight to the career path of Audit and will be highly beneficial in acheiving a job in the future.
