The Role
Started well but got less engaging as time went on
Staff were friendly and welcoming.
My line manager was superb and I could not ask for better guidance.
I was very busy a the start of the placement but in the final 2 weeks I got progressively less busy and then bored
I felt theprojects I worked on were of value as they were used by the staff and I could see the outcome.
I learnt a lot more about people skills and manangement that will be very useful in my deree
The Company
As its an office block there is a limit to the conversation/ noise levels and overall rowdy fun to be had but the people were friendly enough to help you get by
Well organised in that I could get started and stuck in as soon as possible but then the programme wasnt really set and left to the line managers discretion
The onboarding weekend away wasn't very well done this year and I felt it didn't develop me in the ways it had set out to accomplish
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
The Culture
There were lots of intern- led socials and gatherings throughout the placement
Canary Wharf is quite expensive as an area and the lunch bill alone will eat away into your pay.
Lots of events on offer but sadly, I didnt attend much
Not much to do with the work colleagues outside of working hours
