The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed it, gained a wide range of knowledge and met some lovely people. Hope to go back to RSM Tenon after i graduate.
I feel very valued by my colleagues. I feel I was treat exactly the same as the other graduates and was given the same level of work as them.
I was given support and guidance by my surpervisor when needed. He was very helpful in helping me complete my portfolio for University and he was always willing to answer any questions when I was unsure of something.
I feel that I was usually quite busy however depending on what you are doing week to week means it differs every week. If we are out on site at a clients that is when jobs can be time pressured.
I feel I was given quite a lot of responsibility. I went out to do stock takes on my own and I also did an independent examination on my own (small audit).
I feel I have developed and learnt so many skills during my time at RSM Tenon. I feel this will enable me to bring a real business approach to my studies at Uni.
The Company
The general atmosphere in the office was good. It was a good balance between working and communicating with others.
Very well organised, all my jobs are planned out in advance so I know what I am doing each week and who I will be working with.
After each job we fill out an appraisal form for the senior to filll in which therefore helps me to see how I can develop. We have audit training once every two months.
Very appealing, I will be applying for RSM Tenon as soon as I go back to University.
The Culture
Yes very good, there is one other placement student and 9 other graduates/school leavers, therefore there is a good social scene eg. drinks on a friday night
Reasonably expensive due to being in the centre of Leeds.
Very good, centre of Leeds
Little activities to get involved in.
