The Role
I had an amazing year working at GSK.
I was lucky to be part of a great, friendly and supportive team.
I have been given guidance and support from both my Manager and coworkers.
It was quite busy most of the times, but we all worked great as a team and it wasn't stressful at all.
I was given a lot of responsibility, which my manager though I could handle but would be challenging enough.
I can not even describe how much I have developed my personality and skills. I have been given a great insight of the IT role in organisation. I have started my placement as a shy student and left GSK as a young, self confident professional.
The Company
The atmosphere was quite relaxed in the office.
GSK has a lot of industrial placement students,so the programme is really structured.
It is completely up to you! You need to go to your manager and ask for the training/courses you want to attend. If there is money left in the budget they will be happy to send you for the additional training.

GSK has a Graduate scheme, and IP students do get through the fast track.
The Culture
Yes, there was an IP unite group, which has organised a lot of social events and parties.
It is quite costly to live in London. Rent is expensive around the area too.
Words can not describe nightlife in London!
