The Role
Enjoyable and challenging work in a helpful environment
Everybody was helpful and appeared to value the vork I was doing.
Support was given when asked for, but I was also left to work on my own when I didn't feel that I needed any support.
There was a god amount of interesting work to do most days, and I was allowed to schedule when and how I did the work, so long as it was finished by a set deadline and to a high standard.
I worked on one area of a project, just as a graduate level employee would, and was trusted to complete this work.
I learn a new programming language that will be useful at university and when applying for jobs.
The Company
Conversations in the office were interesting and occasionally punctuated the work.
Incredibly well organised, with just one or two details needing to be corrected in the first week of employment.
I was given all of the normal training that any other associate joining the company would be given, but no further training.
The internship has developed my interest in the area that the company operates in, meaning that I will be more likely to apply for a job with them when I leave university.
The Culture
Reasonably so, although it was quite segregated by department.
The cost of living in, or near the London area was higher than the allowance given to cover this.
I travelled home for the weekends, so I wasn't in the area for this.
There were a few activities, but interns were not always encouraged to take part and sometimes did not even receive the emails, despite being eligible.
