The Role
It was very exciting and from the first day I was involved with work that was challenging and exciting
I was regularly consulted on meaningful tasks for my input.
They were always around for me to ask questions when I needed them. however they never looked over my shoulder and told me what to do so to speak.
I was kept pretty busy while I was there. In a typical day I would spend maybe an hour withut something to do. However, I think this was because there was less work on due to the summer holidays and not a fault of any of my managers or organisers of the internship itself.
During my internship I was responsible for an entire survey project reporting back to a manager every so often.
I have learnt a lot more about excel for one thing which will be of huge help. similarly the spereince within an office, meeting new people and confidence gained from this will definitely help going forward.
The Company
Excellent. everyone got on and was sociable with one another. Very nice people is probably the highlight of my experience.
Very well organised. Work was slow at times but this was due to time of year again.
I was invited to several learning events during my internship
Company Parties/Events
There is definitely a good chance of being able to get a job. However this is dependent on company hiring policy and my review I suppose.
The Culture
Unfortunately there were no other interns in my department so I did not regularly get to socialise with them. however on the occasions when interns met up during the internship we would go for drinks and socialise together.
Central London prices. however, my seniors would usually pay for most of the drinks.
Cebtral London nightlife.
Through work no there was not much and the short nature of the internship meant joining a club for the small amount of time seemed pointless.
