The Role
Absolutely brilliant experience, could not rate it highly enough.
I was made feel very welcome from day 1, given plenty of work to do and they made the effort to ensure I got a well rounded experience with a balance between work in the office and work on site.
Managers were all very conscientious and helpful at all times, giving me advice and guidance constantly, as well as constant feedback to improve my performance.
I was never sitting idle and therefore avoided the dreaded boredom, however I was not over worked either so the balance was perfect.
I was given the opportunity to take responsibility for my own sections of the audit files which was a great experience.
The tasks I was undertaking at Grant Thornton directly relate back to my degree and therefore will be very helpful in my studies.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was light hearted yet hard working, which was perfect.
The organisation of this internship was top notch, everything was well set out and the evaluation process was brilliant.
I feel everyone invested time in effort into teaching me about the details of how everything works.
Subsidised/Company Gym

Company Parties/Events
One of the major perks is the potential for a job offer at the end of this internship, which I immediately accepted!
The Culture
The social scene is brilliant, staff socialise together regularly!
Fairly cheap depending on where you go!
Lots of bar and nightclub options!
There is alot of opportunities for voluntary activities, sports etc...
