    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • A very enjoyable insight experience, managed to gain a lot from my time in the offices even though I wasn't there for very long. Had a great taste of life in assurance and hope that I will be able to come back soon!

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Felt quite valued, think I managed to get a lot out of my time working at PwC. Was given a fair amount of work so I must have been trusted, and I managed to get along very well with the many different associates.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Lot's of support, helped through many different things whenever I asked for help I was given it immediately. My colleagues were very helpful and eager to teach me, which I hadn't expected as I know I was only there for a short period of time.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Not sure yet but am sure they will help lots!

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Insight was fairly well structured, the first few days were quite linear, I had lots to do and I learnt a lot, there had clearly been some planning for this which was nice, however, after this there was less structure, but I still managed to find lots to do by asking around.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Seemed like a very fun office, I was kept busy and entertained by the associates, didn't think that it would be that enjoyable actually. However, this might have been because it was a quieter part of the season and it was summer, it might be less enjoyable around the busy periods!

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • PwC invested a lot of time in me in the early few days, but they couldn't continue working with me so closely throughout the period or I wouldn't have learnt how to find work and do stuff by myself, but the training that I received was comprehensive for what I needed to do during the programme.

    3/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Yes, I felt like I learnt a lot about what the associates do on a day to day basis, and I know what it will be like for me if I ever return to work at PwC in the future, which I hope I will due to the great experience that I had whilst on this placement!

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Similar to the previous answer I felt I learnt a lot.

    3/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • The content was very useful for deciding on my future path, I really feel like I have a much greater understanding of what assurance is like and fell I know what I will be doing if I return to work at PwC or at another top firm.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Adequate.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes, there were lots of opportunities to meet other employees and discuss various aspects of the firm with them. I spent a lot of time with recent graduates networking and asking them lots of questions about the firm, and this was a really valuable experience. I feel like there were lots of good things to come from these experiences.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • There were good opportunities to socialise and network, there were a few other students on the programme as well that I could socialise with. There were also some socialising opportunities outside of the office as well, we managed to head to the pub a few times.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • I didn't get involved in much but I know there are lots.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • I would definitely recommend it to a friend, the insight programme was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I felt that it was well worth my time. The insight programme allowed me to gain a greater understanding of what I want from my career and allowed me to gain strong experience in the area.
