About You
A very enjoyable insight experience, managed to gain a lot from my time in the offices even though I wasn't there for very long. Had a great taste of life in assurance and hope that I will be able to come back soon!
Felt quite valued, think I managed to get a lot out of my time working at PwC. Was given a fair amount of work so I must have been trusted, and I managed to get along very well with the many different associates.
Lot's of support, helped through many different things whenever I asked for help I was given it immediately. My colleagues were very helpful and eager to teach me, which I hadn't expected as I know I was only there for a short period of time.
Not sure yet but am sure they will help lots!
The Company
Insight was fairly well structured, the first few days were quite linear, I had lots to do and I learnt a lot, there had clearly been some planning for this which was nice, however, after this there was less structure, but I still managed to find lots to do by asking around.
Seemed like a very fun office, I was kept busy and entertained by the associates, didn't think that it would be that enjoyable actually. However, this might have been because it was a quieter part of the season and it was summer, it might be less enjoyable around the busy periods!
PwC invested a lot of time in me in the early few days, but they couldn't continue working with me so closely throughout the period or I wouldn't have learnt how to find work and do stuff by myself, but the training that I received was comprehensive for what I needed to do during the programme.
Yes, I felt like I learnt a lot about what the associates do on a day to day basis, and I know what it will be like for me if I ever return to work at PwC in the future, which I hope I will due to the great experience that I had whilst on this placement!
Similar to the previous answer I felt I learnt a lot.
The content was very useful for deciding on my future path, I really feel like I have a much greater understanding of what assurance is like and fell I know what I will be doing if I return to work at PwC or at another top firm.
Everything Else
Adequate.
Yes, there were lots of opportunities to meet other employees and discuss various aspects of the firm with them. I spent a lot of time with recent graduates networking and asking them lots of questions about the firm, and this was a really valuable experience. I feel like there were lots of good things to come from these experiences.
There were good opportunities to socialise and network, there were a few other students on the programme as well that I could socialise with. There were also some socialising opportunities outside of the office as well, we managed to head to the pub a few times.
I didn't get involved in much but I know there are lots.
I would definitely recommend it to a friend, the insight programme was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I felt that it was well worth my time. The insight programme allowed me to gain a greater understanding of what I want from my career and allowed me to gain strong experience in the area.
